Topic > True Teammates in the Game of Basketball - 670

Basketball should be a team sport. A team can consist of ten or twelve players, but only five can compete on a team. Five players on the pitch working together to win. Teammates should have their teammates back. Fight until the end for your team to achieve victory. This is not always true. Players have their own way of doing things. They think a team should be this or that, but they are players who do the right things for the team. I experienced this from my team. My teammates can be classified based on their performances as "Jankin' Jerseys", "Limitless LeBrons" and "Paparazzi Peters". The "Jankin' Jerseys" are a group based on their performance on the team. The “Jankin' Jerseys” want to be able to say they're on the team. Most players don't really care about winning or losing. They are only interested in wearing a shirt. For example, Bragging Bob playing with me. He went around school just bragging about making the team. He's fine with being on the bench in every game and only playing two or three minutes a game. Other than the satisfaction of simply being on the team, “Jankin' Jersey” delivers little to no punch. They will not work hard during training or work outside of training to improve. They don't want to improve when they can be big and play. They are okay with being average. For example, Lazy Larry comes to practice every day. Do just enough to get through the practice. He doesn't try to be first in the sprints or to take the field to challenge the first team. For him it is always the bare minimum. “Jankin' Jerseys” are just like their name, a joke, no effort and all you care about is wearing a jersey. It's easy to point out a "Jankin' Jersey" on a team based on their performance.......midway through the paper......game, he would go to our stat guy and ask how many points they had even though we were defeated. In addition to taking care of themselves, they can also harm the team. The “Paparazzi Peters” will try to take matters into their own hands. They want to be the heroes in a close game so everyone can honor them. In most cases, they are not the hero, but the reason why we lose a game. Most of the time a forced shot or turnover will occur with the ball in the hands of a “Paparazzi Peter”. In fact, Selfish Steve was in the game. We had ten seconds left in the game and our coach wanted us to execute the play he had prepared for us. Instead Selfish Steve received the ball and turned it over. This caused them to lose the game and miss the chance to go to the playoffs. Therefore, the “Paparazzi Peters” might be helpful, but they are harmful and selfish players making them the worst group to play on a team.
