Blogging and PoliticsIt was a dark and stormy Tuesday evening, but thank God my electricity wasn't out because, if it were, I would have been banished from my only happiness: the BLOG RING! I signed up online with trepidation but excitement. After going through the usual steps to access my haven and entering passwords and usernames here and there, I finally reached the world of Internet communication and idea sharing: free speech at its most liberal. To my horror, I only arrived to find a message from a fellow blogger I had never met. I decided to check out the new stranger blogs. It was a mistake. When the screen appeared, the information presented was quite disturbing. It talked about different ways of torturing people for pleasure. The conclusions seem obvious: the Internet can deceive. With today's technology it only takes a few seconds to send an instant message from New York to Australia. From the inception of voice mail to the development of blogs and instant messaging, people have been using the Internet as a source of income and information. So why has blogging become the new process of spreading news? Well, it all comes down to politics. Blogging has changed the realm of the Internet by influencing how people respond to politics.
