Yes, so the third chapter actually takes place first, yet it's called Chapter 3. Find out, why don't you too. Clearly the marketers responsible for this film could honestly care less about whether or not viewers understand the continuity logistics of this franchise, proving once again that the only thing that keeps studio executives warm late at night is the touch of 'almighty dollar. Luckily, the title of this production has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the film or the story itself. However, this film was not free from an uphill battle before its announcement. After all, the third try is typically where the wheels completely fall off the bus for horror sequels. Look no further than Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Friday the 13th Part III, or the ridiculous Poltergeist III. In this third chapter, a number of new characters are introduced, including the Brenner family. The film focuses primarily on Quinn, played by Stefanie Scott, a former student of Disney's ANT Farm. While it's clearly not uncommon for young actors and actresses to get their first big feature film (she's had smaller roles in the past) through a horror film, it's hard to accept Scott as a "scream queen." Indeed, it is difficult to accept a potential victim who is forced to deal with two broken legs almost all of the time.
