Abstract: Scientists say that other forms of life actually exist based on probability. The conditions necessary for life are likely to be present on various other planets. Signs of possible life have been found in material from space. Much research has been devoted to proving the existence of life on Mars. SETI is a program entirely dedicated to research and communication with extraterrestrials. If other life forms are found, communication with these beings will be a difficult task. Laws to protect humans from the dangers of extraterrestrial beings are already in place. Although contact with alien beings has not yet been established, today's technology could make it a reality in the near future. Over time we have pondered the possibility of life beyond earth. Films, television programs, and novels have been written about extraterrestrial beings. These beings often bear strong similarities to humans, with slight alterations. When we imagine what exactly an alien would be like, we are biased to believe that extraterrestrial beings are little green men with antennas sticking out of their heads and flying around the universe in huge spaceships. However, these little green men are a figment of our imagination, as real life has yet to be proven that life does, in fact, exist elsewhere in the universe. Scientists have tried for many years to find extraterrestrial life, without success. Yet their work was not entirely in vain. There is evidence that life can and possibly does exist on other planets. Our task is to find direct evidence of this hypothesis and attempt to establish communication with these foreign beings. Scientists are able to make an educated guess (… middle of the paper… verified). However, the way society perceives extraterrestrials may not be entirely accurate. We may not be able to imagine the forms or types of life that exist outside the earth. They may bear little or no resemblance to our human race. We hope that in the near future our work will bear fruit and we will find absolute proof of the existence of extraterrestrial life. Five hundred years ago we were still exploring the limits of the Earth. Who knows what discoveries we might encounter in the next five hundred years. Bibliography Dole, Stephen H.
