Is racial profiling a problem in our society? If a certain race, such as a white person, robs a bank, is the entire white race held responsible? Now, let's say an African American person decides to hijack a commercial plane and crash it into a city, because of this certain event, the entire African American community is interrogated or harassed, just because of their skin color or cultural background ? Or what about Arabs and Muslims, just because Al-Qaeda was a mass Arab organization, all Arabs alive on this planet are terrorists, they will bomb everyone wherever they step foot? These stereotypes don't just stop there, there are countless other races such as Hispanics, Japanese, Chinese, Indians and Vietnamese who have experienced prejudice based on racial stereotypes, for some only a few times, but for others it has become a part of their daily lives. Yes, one hundred percent, racial profiling is a major problem in modern society that continues to victimize millions of people around the world. This process can include behavioral, cultural and physical characteristics, basically profiling someone as to whether they have committed a crime or are about to do so in the future. But there's a difference between looking at suspects through a behavioral scale and simply stopping someone because they're African American. The main definition of racial profiling is "a form of discrimination by which law enforcement uses a person's race or cultural background as the primary reason for suspecting that the individual has broken the law" (..... . middle of paper ... ... is denying everyone with jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws and yet being stopped because they are black "equal"? against all types of crimes and acts of terror. Being targeted just because one's skin color and/or background is simply morally wrong. It is true that many races stick to one type of crime and it is right to profile a group belonging to the same ethnic background, but. every single person should be held responsible for a crime committed by very stupid and idiotic individuals. People should be able to live freely and not be afraid of being detected, and even though there are laws and actions taken by the government to prevent it. racial hate crimes the biggest and most difficult step is to change people's mentality and demonstrate that not everyone is guilty.
