I remember my sophomore year of high school, seeing my first pregnant teenager. During my senior year, there seemed to be more and more cases of pregnancy. When a girl at my school got pregnant she was immediately marginalized; she was the talk of the school. She was a slut. On the opposite end of the spectrum, my friend attended a Catholic high school. She had been taught that abstinence was the answer and that sex before marriage was wrong. Her school went so far as to tell teachers they couldn't talk about condoms or birth control even if they were asked directly about it. She told me how only one girl in her school had gotten pregnant while she was there, but everyone accepted it willingly. According to my friend, her school consulted with the pregnant girl and tried to educate her against abortion, and supported the
