As a first-time college student I realized that it takes hard work and dedication to succeed academically. To be successful there are many factors that will lead to a successful academic career. These skills will help me succeed with my academic goals and have a clear picture of the path of my education. It is extremely important to have a plan before the process begins. To achieve these objectives, there must be a system for managing time and studying. As I attend college, this student survival guide will help me get the most out of my college experience. As a student through distance learning, the student's survival guide will consist of six separate subjects: using A's educational resources, supporting academic honesty, setting and achieving goals, managing time wisely, promoting understanding and memorization of reading and application of personality and learning styles. The following topics will explain how to succeed in certain areas of A Collage and how to train myself to learn effectively and to the best of my ability. A College has a large number of learning capabilities that can be used for the success of every student. As Student A, I am familiar with using A's educational resources. Some of the resources are extremely useful and adaptable to the application a student needs. One of the resource tools that I have found most helpful in my learning process is A Center for Writing Excellence (CWE). The Center for Writing Excellence offers a plagiarism and grammar check. Here I can send my writing materials to have them checked for plagiarism and grammatical errors. I also used the grammar guide often. I think one of my biggest flaws in writing is grammatical errors. The Center for Writing Excellence also offers sample papers, essay development, tutorial guides, and writing manuals. Other resources are also available, such as Axcess course materials, course syllabus, student workshops, and visual and audio tutorials. These tools can be found on ecampus for A College. A College also provides a useful online library that can be accessed to help students with their studies. This library offers three different databases that students can use to search for class assignments. The three databases are EBSCOhost, Gale Power Search, and ProQuest. Here I can find articles, journals and other educational sources based on the material from my research that I conduct.
