Topic > Americans don't realize the problems fast food is causing

Fast food or fast food in general is becoming a problem. America doesn't seem to realize that there are several reasons why fast food isn't the best choice for people. What these restaurants are actually doing is breaking family ties, increasing obesity, and wasting money. Being healthy is a choice a person must make for themselves. America should not want to continue to harm others with the choices it offers. Choices should always be made wisely. For starters, having fast food around is causing the family bond to break down. Fast food restaurants are breaking down families without knowing it. Families are too busy going out to buy food instead of staying home, gathering and spending time. All of this is starting to make some or most families lazy. Not only has it affected the family bond, but it is also affecting the traditions that the family holds with them. People are too busy focusing on relaxing and not cooking, they go out and buy food. In most cases, the family buys unhealthy foods, which is not a good choice. For example, in the article Eating out takes time away from the family it states that "Time spent around the table allows a family to share about their day, upcoming commitments and parents to know more about their children." This shows that if the family doesn't gather around, it starts to influence them to get to know each other more. On the other hand, there are many families who take family ties seriously. Those who do will notice that spending time with their family and making the right choices will make a difference. Some families think that showing their children how to cook is more beneficial to them. This is true because children should grow up knowing how to be r...... middle of paper ...... more money simply by making a meal for themselves. It's about the choices the person makes. Finally, if people put it all together they will realize that it all adds up. Fast food might be one thing but it can affect many things. So those many things could cause many other things to happen. It will all seem like a domino effect: if one falls, everything collapses. In conclusion, if America would consider and notice that fast food is not a good idea it will really help. It would save so many people from getting sick and dying. There is always a solution to a problem. One small thing could really save the world in many different ways.
