Despite this, all Robinson wanted to do was go to sea. Robinson decides to board a ship with his friend to London, but during the sailing a violent storm breaks out which almost kills everyone on board. After this, Crusoe's friend decides to stop traveling by sea, but Robinson is persistent in sailing and decides to go on another ship to London which ends up being better, and leaves his money to a kind widow to make another trip. The ship he travels on is captured by pirates and Crusoe is then enslaved in a North African town called Sallee. After years of captivity, Robinson manages to escape on a fishing boat with a small slave named Xury. After evading their pursuers, Robinson and Xury sail along the African coast until meeting a friendly Portuguese captain. He buys the skins that Crusoe obtained while exploring the coast, also buys Xury from him and takes Crusoe to Brazil. Now in Brazil, Robinson buys a plot of land and becomes the owner of a plantation. He is very successful, but heads to Africa on a slave-gathering expedition and wrecks the ship before it even leaves the Caribbean. Robinson Crusoe finds himself on a desert island without any other human beings. As the only person to survive the crash, Crusoe builds a shelter and a small raft, which he uses to reach the crashed ship to find items not ruined by the water. He finds guns, powder, food and more ... middle of paper ...... and prisoners, and discovers that there had been a mutiny and one of them was the captain of the ship. Crusoe, Friday and the others shout at the men from different directions, confusing and tiring them. They manage to make the mutineers surrender. The captain and Robinson trick the mutineers back to England. After landing in England, he and Friday soon head to Lisbon, where Crusoe meets the Portuguese captain who tells him that his plantations are still successful. Deciding to return to England via Spain, Robinson is threatened by bad weather and animals. When he arrives in London again, he gives some of his money to the remaining family members and his widowed friend. He gets married and has children. After the death of his wife, Crusoe returns to life at sea. When he revisits the island, he finds that the Spanish have created a successful colony.
