The Philippines, made up of 7,100 islands, is considered one of the most megadiverse countries in the world. Not only does it have a rich biological component, but also has exemplary landscapes such as mountains, hills, valleys, waterfalls and the like. One of the most important landscapes that the Philippines possesses is the watershed. Watershed, as defined in the Revised Forest Code (PD 705), is a land area drained by a fixed stream or body of water and tributaries having a common outlet for surface runoff. It can be located at altitude or on the plain; It has different types depending on the type of coverage it is equipped with. According to Saplaco, et al., (2001), a watershed has three environments: mountain or plateau, low-lying land and marine environment that make up the watershed continuum.
