The learning module for Cornella Brothers Inc. focuses on one of the main objectives of the organization which is safety. There are several factors that require attention when developing a learning module. Fortunately, there are templates and guides such as the ADDIE template and the Sloan Common Course Elements guide that ensure quality and consistency in the instructional design of courses. This paper will discuss the impact of the ADDIE model on the development of this module and outline the components of the security module for Cornella Brothers. ADDIE Model The ADDIE Model is a “systematic instructional design model consisting of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation” (Learning-Theories, n.d., p. 1). In this course, an in-depth discussion of the application of the ADDIE model to the ID. Therefore, it was established that the basic elements of this model can be easily applied to the course modules. Below are the ways in which the ADDIE model has been applied to the safety course at Cornella Brothers Inc. Analysis. The initial phase of the ADDIE model is the learning needs analysis. This phase includes the objectives of the program, the needs of the students, the knowledge base of the students and other needs or information needed for the course. (Learning Theories, n.d.) This course module for Cornella Brothers Inc. focuses on safety for new employees. This course is necessary to properly orient new employees to the company's requirements for the safe operation of heavy equipment , general workplace safety, as well as the company's expectations regarding intoxicating substances and policies. This stage of the ADDIE process involves considering what students need and what... middle of the paper... revisions and how to correctly fill out the daily timesheets based on the work done. These learning objectives are provided to give the employee a better understanding of what will be taught and learned through this orientation.
