IntroductionMy signature assignment case study will be on the topic of AIDS. My topic will be about the rise of AIDS and HIV, a global epidemic that must be solved. The numbers of this epidemic have increased significantly in recent years. This epidemic affects a large number of individuals who have been affected and even had to result in death. The numbers say that more than 500,000 people have died from the disease in the United States of America (Henry, 2011). The number is almost equal to or equal to the population value of a large city. There are as many as 1.7 million people in the United States who have HIV. What makes this number even scarier is that most people do not know that they carry the disease (Henry, 2011). This causes many problems with even more people contracting the disease because they may have received it from an individual who did not know they were carrying the disease (Henry, 2011). In this case study, I will go into detail about how we can make ethical decisions regarding this problem and possibly develop a solution to stop the spread of this epidemic (Perlin, 2002). Case Study Patient He was sharing drug needles with his drug distributor. The problem is that patient X is pregnant again and fears that the baby will be born affected by the disease. Patient X claims she did nothing to get the disease, however the results show different results. Patient The problem (problem) of HIV also known as human immunodeficiency virus...... middle of paper......ly begin to produce the necessary drugs for individuals (Perlin, 2002).
