Helping with homework and discussing topics that your child may have difficulty with can help him or her do better in school. Parents need to be more aware that time spent in school may not be sufficient for students to receive adequate educational instruction. There should be some interaction with studies outside of school hours. Unfortunately, socioeconomically disadvantaged students often struggle in school, especially if their parents do not have higher levels of education.
