Essay on Child Abuse Most parents and caregivers do not purposely hurt their children, but the abuse is clear from the consequences on the child, not by the motivation of parents or caregivers. Tens of thousands of children each year are tormented by physical, sexual, and emotional abuse or by neglectful caregivers, making stories of child abuse increasingly common and shocking. The shocking thing is that there are more cases of child abuse than ever before. We all know that child abuse is clear that it is intentional acts that cause physical or emotional harm that can harm children. In this article, I would like to explain the four different types of child abuse: physical, emotional, neglect and sexual abuse and how to prevent these abuses. Why does child abuse occur in the first place? Why do parents/guardians hurt children? What drives them to do it? You need to answer all these questions to understand child abuse. According to the Children's Health website, “most child abuse occurs within the family. Risk factors include parental depression or other mental health problems, a history of parental childhood abuse, and domestic violence. Child neglect and abuse are also more common in families living in poverty and among parents who are teenagers or who abuse drugs or alcohol. While it is certainly true that child abuse occurs outside the home, very often children are abused by a caregiver or someone they know, not by a stranger.” This is true because I don't think a normal thinking person would harm an innocent child, but it is obvious that it is possible for a mentally challenged person to do such a thing. The first type of child abuse is called physical abuse. Physical abuse implies physical harm… middle of the card… hey, kids should keep their distance from strangers; say “no” when someone asks you to do something you don't like or to stay away from unfamiliar places. According to my research, “two-way communication with your child gives you the best chance of knowing when a problem occurs.” One of the best ways to prevent child abuse is that parents should encourage their children not to get into trouble if they tell you about abuse. Also, parents should always stay their children to keep them safe. Bottom line, both good guys and bad guys deserve to live life. It is the responsibility of parents to keep track of how their children are doing. Any kind of abuse will harm children physically or mentally. Any kind of child abuse should be prevented immediately because as a child today they will be a leader tomorrow.
