Belief in God is an important part of many people's lives. How does God, as an important human construct, make a difference in determining the meaning of life? Western religions believe that their scriptures are the direct word of God. So they use them as an authoritative source for many aspects of life. Eastern religions tend to view their scriptures as interpretations by humans, yet many of life's mysteries are accepted as truths in their scriptures. So these scriptures should be the foundation of the meaning of life? Furthermore, what if we assume that there is some sort of God but there is no answer to which one is the right one?
