In 2013, the American Life Project said the Internet has had a "major impact" on how they teach in the United States when it comes to accessing resources , content, and make the classroom available outside of school to promote 24/7 stimulation (Burns). Suffice it to say that this statistic never existed fifty years ago, or even fifteen years ago. I know it is safe to say that children have recently gained access to a fruitful and universal education with many benefits made possible simply by the presence of technology. While many people in various discourse communities (parents, teachers, and other general interest stakeholders) support applications of technology taking place in classrooms and institutions, some do not see its relevance today. Technology is vital to a student (young or old) of 2014 because of the skills that are starting to become necessary in functional society. The opinions of scholars are expressed right here at the State University. I challenge you to attend a meeting of the Computer Science Society at State. Understand their mission and join them in their plan to make as many people tech (and computer) literate as possible. I challenge it in this way, because the State University CSS serves as a model for the application and use of technology.
