You can rest easy knowing that you have presented to the best of your ability and that the board will now take that information and make the best possible decision for the company. Don't be discouraged if the board isn't swayed by your direction; a successful presentation is not often judged by whether you have successfully convinced the audience, at least in a boardroom. Perhaps the board has information that you do not have that advises them against this particular decision. Instead, evaluate your success based on the personal goals you set upon entering that room. Remember, next time you find yourself in front of a board of directors, that they are the ones making the difficult and stressful decision; you are the one there to relieve them
