Every day someone loses their life due to having previously inhaled cigarette smoke. While banning smoking in public places will not completely end the loss of life, it will be a step towards reducing the risk. Smoking in public has become an act that most people consider normal. Smokers don't think twice about smoking in public, and non-smokers are simply used to being around smoke. To reduce cigarette-related health problems, a smoking ban in public places should be implemented to protect non-smokers, improve the health of smokers, and reduce the overall use of tobacco products among smokers, while protecting same rights.
