Student Success in a Modern Education System There are many majors you can earn while attending college. They all play an important role in our society and we all need them, although there is one important one that should be recognized and that is education. People should appreciate this specialization because most people at some point in their lives have had the benefit of having a teacher. Teachers should be appreciated more for all the work they do because they truly make a difference in society. Teachers are important to society for many reasons. Their goal is to help students achieve educational goals, learn to the best of their ability, and help them grow. If they achieve this goal, the student passes the course and/or ultimately graduates. Without teachers, students would not be able to earn a major, leaving a major setback in society. Often, teachers spend a lot of time on lesson plans as they try to think of creative ways to make lessons exciting for their students in the classroom. Teachers are often blamed if a student fails a class, especially in elementary school. But why is it their fault? If they have a good lesson plan and try to help their students, then why is it their fault if a student fails the grade? This would be different if the teacher did not try to help the students and did not give good instruction, but if he did he should not be at fault. If the student misbehaves and isn't paying attention, he or she may need more help or be punished to try to make up for missed work. Furthermore, if the student chooses not to do homework outside of class, it is not the teacher's fault. There are some mediocre teachers out there, who... middle of paper... show up and put aside everything that might be going on in their lives to try to help their students. This can sometimes be difficult, especially if they are going through a difficult time in their personal life. Even if they keep showing up and smiling. Not all teachers do this, but the good ones do. When teachers are able to do that, it's an amazing gift that even though something may be difficult in their life, they put it aside just to be able to teach their students and try to make an impact in their students' lives. Every teacher should try to get it and show it in their classroom every day. You never know whose life you could impact just by giving them a smile and showing that you care and are trying to be the best you can be. Teachers should be appreciated more for all the work they do because they truly make a difference in society.
