The first thing we know about the third world is that the third world doesn't have many of the same opportunities as the third world. Third world problems include financial problems, hunger, and electricity. While first world problems included the internet not working or the electricity going out for five minutes. The author, Sia, mentions some of the same issues by stating, “give our uncles houses with doors, our children an education with computers, and our communities the relief that beer cannot provide.” (Sia, 165) This quote says a lot about the differences between the two worlds. The author states that children receiving education in third worlds do not even have access to the Internet. Which is shocking because in the first world, if a student does not have access to the internet, it is not possible for him to pass the course because all the classes require essays or online work. The quote also mentions that the aid that third world countries receive is not effective because third world countries need food and electricity. But it is not expected for them, which is wrong, the first world should contribute to help the third world. Just as third world people immigrate to the United States to make it a better place, the United States should do something to help
