Despite being separated by nearly a century, William Wordsworth and William Butler Yeats share some similarities in their poems "Line Written in Early Spring" and "The Lake Isle Innisfree." In William Wordsworth's poem "Lines Written in Early Spring" it is stated in the first stanza: "I heard a thousand notes mingled, / As I lay in a grove, / Bringing sad thoughts to the mind."
