The caste system is in decline, it is limited only to the illiterate elderly, it has nothing to do with religion, it is just a social problem, most people are against the caste system in In the society, this system will be swept away within ten years, say in 2020, and there will be no or negligible caste-related discrimination in the society. Those who talk about the caste system perpetuate it, incite it and provoke it, this topic should not be discussed in the social sphere. This system can be eradicated through education, and education can be an effective tool for improving social harmony. These are the views of some of my friends regarding caste and caste related issues. These were the controversial points of an informal discussion among friends on the topic of "caste and religion" held this afternoon. It started in a lighter way with the teaching of various religions and later affected the Hindu religion and its inhuman face. Religion is always a sentimental issue and blaming religion for inequality in society did not sit well with some of my friends. On this issue every friend was unanimous on the fact that there is no inequality sanctioned in the Hindu religion, but over time many anomalies have crept into the religion which perpetuated the inequality. According to them, caste and the discrimination related to it are not a religious issue but a social issue. On this point I disagree. Unlike other religions, Hinduism has many religious books. Hindus have Veda, Puran, Upnishad, Ramayana, Mahabharta, Gita, Manu smriti and many more. There are so many ways of worshiping in Hindu Dharma and this religion has enough freedom to choose the different ways to reach the Supreme Being. There are so many Sanskrit slokas and suktas to promote... middle of paper... kidney for Hindu religion, humanism and Indian democracy. A disease that has the potential to destroy all organs, a threat that can destroy peace and harmony in society. Such a disease should not be kept hidden from others, because hiding the disease is not its cure. The disease must be discussed, the negative effects must be informed and society must be explained how to prevent it. Discussion, debate and dialogue are an effective tool to address this problem, a right way to raise people's awareness. Indeed, in nation building it is necessary to have a discussion forum at a very isolated level to address this age-old problem of our country. As my friends think, I also want to see an obsolete word “caste” in the society, until a strong and vibrant movement has been started to fight it, eradication of this sick system does not seem possible in the near future.
