Gay marriage is a problem that our society faces on a daily basis. It's an issue that has been raised in many states. He has even taken matters to the Supreme Court. In the United States, gay marriage is frowned upon in some states while supported in others. There are people who argue that there is nothing wrong with gay marriage. They would also argue and believe that gays should have the same rights as in a heterosexual marriage. There are some stereotypes and problems that gay couples face, some are: what makes them different from any other marriage, why (in some states where gay marriage is supported) their spouses do not have the same rights as those with a heterosexual marriage and why Society frowns on this issue. Over the years people have come to accept that there is nothing wrong with gay marriage. But there are some people who oppose the idea that it should be legal. If marriage is defined as the union between two people, why is it considered morally wrong for two people of the same sex to get married? At this point the question is asked: what makes gay marriage different from heterosexual marriages? Why can't they have the right to love, honor and commit like heterosexual couples? Some may argue that the Bible says it is wrong to be involved in a gay marriage. If two people love each other, why can't they get married? There are so many arguments that can be raised to justify marriage and for couples to receive benefits like any other couple. In this society I understand why some people like me feel that people have the right to be with who they want to be with and just because you don't believe it doesn't mean it's bad. A gay person is no different…middle of paper…should anyone be denied the right to marry just because they are gay? Because someone shouldn't marry who they want just because someone has a personal or moral problem with their beliefs. For me it is not morally right to judge someone, how can someone preach about morality and say that God does not judge but that what they are doing to others judges. Even gays need love, they can't help the fact that they have fallen in love with a person of the same sex, love is uncontrollable. From a Christian perspective you know that God planned your life before you even began your life. I believe that regardless of race, religion, or sexual preference, anyone should be able to get married. Furthermore, if gay marriage is morally wrong, why did God allow some people to fall in love with someone of the opposite sex? Gay marriage will be an ethical issue for years to come.
