Pamphlet Review The first pamphlet/pamphlet I reviewed is the Leukemia Foundation's "Patient Information Booklet". I need to determine the purpose of the brochure, the content, the writing style and layout, and how the layout could be improved. Purpose: The purpose of the booklet is to provide patients with as much information and advice on the various types of leukemia and associated blood disorders. It lets patients know the types of treatment they are likely to receive and informs them about what their disease might be and gives them detailed information about symptoms and how the disease works. The contents: The booklet is full of different information about leukemia. Informs the patient about where leukemia begins, what leukemia is, what causes leukemia, how leukemia is diagnosed, the types of leukemia, symptoms, treatment, supportive care available, and provides information about the Charitable Foundation for leukemia. The booklet makes good use of well-labeled images and diagrams to support the text and help the reader understand what they are reading. The writing style and layout: this brochure is very formal throughout, the language is formal and seems aimed at an older audience. reader, the lack of color also adds formality. It is black and white so there is no color as such, however it uses different fonts and font sizes and different shades of gray which stops it from looking boring and unimaginative.
