For Eros it is the force that tries to reunite the human being after his split into categories: male and female. Take for example "love", which is a form of passion, which in turn is a form of emotion. Rhetoric has emotional appeals; just like love: "understand that the friendship of a lover does not come with good will; it is like an appetite for food, for the purpose of being satisfied - as wolves love lambs, so is the affection of the lover.. .” (Phaedrus pg 20) The idea seems simple, but there is a danger associated with miscategorizing issues that affect people. Different perspectives always entail conditions of a subjective nature, so it is impossible to reach a universal consensus through which to form a grand and ultimately objective taxonomy, so it seems unlikely to avoid incorrect categorization. It therefore follows that any error in the process itself will lead to incorrect groupings, and such groupings can promote associations that are undesirable for some people, i.e. stigmas. Negative stigmas arise from a type of false inference called a
