Without a structured protocol, I didn't know where I should develop follow-up questions. At some points in the interview I received a lot of information and was overwhelmed. There were a few pauses during my short interview. Sometimes, the interviewee waited for me to ask more questions. He even kept asking me “Do you want to know anything else?” After the first twenty minutes of the interview, I found it really difficult to keep track of the interview. I was baffled and a little panicked as I proposed the next question. Sometimes, I asked a random question just to keep the interview going. I felt like I was in a marathon and was exhausted by the last run. I felt uncomfortable remembering the interview. I keep reminding myself that I didn't know how to deliver a true inductive interview. Since the assignment only required a twenty-minute transcript, I selected the best part of the interview. The terrible part wasn't in the transcript. Then I limited myself to analyzing the good part of the interview. Eventually, I forgot my worry about how poorly I did on an inductive interview. The information I received from my interviewee seemed pretty good, so much so that I even started to think that the interview wasn't good
