I knew there was this problem especially in the South, especially because I lived most of my childhood in the South. I know there is a lot of racial tension in the US, but it's worse in the South. How does this film relate to your life? The film relates to my life because as the daughter of a rape victim and as a mother I can sympathize with the characters in the film. I sympathize with the little girl because she is only a couple of years younger than my mother was when she was raped. I feel sorry for the little girl and how long and difficult her recovery will be. I also feel sorry for her father because as a parent I can imagine how difficult it was for him to walk into her home, see how hurt his daughter was, hear what had been done to her and how serious her injuries were. changes would you like to see in society as a result of this film? I would like to see everyone be treated equally, for everyone to realize that it doesn't matter what color your skin is or what god you believe in, that there are things that are wrong to do to others, no matter who they are. It didn't matter that the little girl was black, it was wrong for them to rape her. I know things like this don't happen as often anymore, but I believe hate crimes still happen
