Because the framework serves as a compass that guides the way for internal auditors, it was important to add a mission statement to declare the overall objective of internal auditing. The mission statement requires internal auditors to provide assurance to stakeholders by carrying out a thorough and thorough analysis of the evidence collected. The mission statement also requires internal auditors to provide information through consultation to the company's stakeholders. For example, these points in the mission statement prevent an internal auditor or a company's management from preventing the disclosure of the information collected and the result of the internal audit to stakeholders and the company. Adding the Core Principles to the IPPF helps society and stakeholders in two ways. Having the core principles clearly outlined helps keep internal auditors in check by providing them with a set of “rules” for what they should be and what they should evaluate. Including the Core Principles in the IPPF also provides stakeholders and the company with a set of “rules” that they know they can enforce their internal auditors to comply with. Stakeholders and members of the company know that it is mandatory for their internal auditor to drive organizational improvement and can rely on an internal auditor who follows the framework to do so. The restructuring changes made to the recommended part of the IPPF have allowed for a broader category. Reducing the scope of the recommended category allows the creators of the IPPF to add to the framework any necessary external information that will improve the professionalism of the internal audit practice that previously would not have been
