McDonald's Organizational ChartName:Institution:McDonald's Organizational ChartMcDonalds has used an organizational structure that incorporates both function and geographic location. From a functional point of view, the graphic designer focused attention on work functions. For example, functions such as global supply chain development and franchising, human resources, and finance were placed under the leadership of executives. The company has also applied a geographical structure, in its diagram, in order to decentralize its operations. This allows it to adapt its business operations to the needs of different markets. In this regard, the organizational chart features executives in charge of four different regions, considered key to the company's operations. In each of these markets, local versions of departments such as finance and marketing are operated (McDonald's, 2013). The current organizational structure has several advantages for McDonald's Corporation. For improvement purposes, the organization should promote the use of geographic segments. In the recent past, the company has experienced slow or no growth. In this regard, the organization must adapt its product range to different markets. This will help to capture the attention of various consumers. The use of segment leaders will be helpful in understanding different markets, thus aiding the growth of the organization. Greater segmentation will allow executives to track market feedback directly from field employees. This approach will also facilitate faster response times to consumer needs. As a result, the organization will be able to maximize its sales opportunities.Various Aspects of McDonald's Tool......middle of paper......nt.
