Title: Managing ethical behavior in construction organizations, integrating ethics into construction, professional ambivalence towards ethics in the construction industry IntroductionManagers want to understand why do employees behave ethically or unethically in the organization and what influences this behavior Ethics is necessary because thanks to it people are able to position themselves. Effective management of ethical behavior requires that organizations ensure that both their managers and employees know how to address ethical issues. The construction industry is plagued by a number of problems. One of these pressing issues is the unethical behavior of professionals in the construction industry, which affects long-term business relationships and affects quality, time and costs. There is a lack of awareness in construction education about how to integrate ethical behavior into professional practice. Many of the challenges facing construction concern how to develop strategies that raise awareness of ethical issues related to construction and how to provide a framework for making ethical decisions. Following the growing consensus within and outside the construction industry that corruption and other unethical practices are endemic in the construction industry, coupled with little empirical study of professional ethics in the sector.
