Topic > Discrimination against the African American population

Quoting Martin Luther King, Jr. “ Discrimination is a hellhound that gnaws at Negroes at every moment of their lives to remind them that the lie of their inferiority is accepted as truth in society by dominating them ”. Every single day every single person on this earth faces different types of discrimination. In general discrimination prevails in the details of life. We live in a qualifications-based world. Being a normal human being is no longer accepted. However, African Americans are one of the populations in the world that have suffered the most discrimination in general: racial discrimination in particular. Although African Americans faced racial discrimination due to the period of slavery hundreds of years ago, racial discrimination still prevails in the lives of African Americans in the present, driven by enormous psychological effects. Around 1400 African Americans suffered from discrimination due to the early days of slavery. During that time, African Americans faced many types of segregation and humiliation due to the concept of slavery. They were segregated from their children and families for a long time and even though they thought they would return home, they had no home. And they faced humiliation by being used as servants. Furthermore, they are not given any rights to education or dependency. In the past, being “black” was a problem, white people did not accept the idea of living with a “black” person in one place and having the same rights in the same way. As for this, the whites came up with a federal rule that would satisfy both sides. They invented “separate but equal” where African Americans had their own neighborhoods, schools, churches, stores, restrooms, and so on. As well as white people. But this rule was not fair enough. Nicely, the African... at the center of the card... and in the present still influences the psychological state of African Americans. Recompose your personality after years of obliteration. Tremendous courage and self-reliance treatments are needed to rebuild the great psychological gap that the period of slavery left in the lives of African Americans. The period of slavery influenced the impression of African Americans. They underestimate the value of their dignity, their actions and their lives. They will also hate the color of their skin; I prefer white color for its privileges. That's a fact, in a psychological study conducted on African-American children. The children were exposed in front of two colored dolls; one is a white skinned doll and the other is a black skinned doll. Children are invited to choose their preferable doll; as a result most of the children chose the white skinned doll because of all the positive results and features.
