By doing these exercises I have learned that specific traits can lead to good leadership skills that can be used to become a successful leader. He taught me that a good leader is one who has a direct relationship with the people he leads. The assessment quizzes gave me in-depth information about my leadership skills and the skills I need to improve to become an effective leader. The following is what I learned from taking the assessment quizzes in the book. By taking the assessment quizzes in chapter one, I learned that I have strong leadership skills, such as building a team by holding staff meetings and encouraging the team to speak up, acting as a spokesperson for the team by dealing with senior management on their behalf , coach and motivator with the team motivating them implementing them by giving rewards when a job is completed. I also help them by acting as a mentor, to help them grow and develop. But along with these assessments, especially the 1-2 assessment quiz, it states that I need to have even more experience as a leader to become an effective leader. Even though I haven't had most of the leadership experience they listed. I believe I am a good leader because of the mentors I have had in my past. They showed me what it takes and what to do under the leadership role. If you have had good leaders in the past and have followed their guidelines, I believe you can become a good leader without doing most of the things listed in the book. You also need to be a trustworthy person to become an effective leader. Quiz 2-2 shows the characteristics of a trustworthy person. Personally I have learned that once a leader's trust is lost it is very difficult to regain it. People don't even want to talk to you because creativity in your work environment can help you create a more productive group of people. With the organizational support, the provision of tools and support to do the work, and the flexibility to do the work, it makes it much easier to do. Overall, what I learned in this course will help me in my leadership career and will ultimately help my career. I learn that a leader is one who has a direct relationship with the people he leads. The leader is the one who also gives direction to the staff. They must have motivational and technological skills which is also a good trait to have. Transformational leadership style is the basic leadership style of the quiz. I've also learned that there are some things I need to work on to improve my leadership styles. The information provided in the book and what I learned in class will help me in the future.
