Most people think that being an electrical engineer means spending your day going to people's homes and solving their electrical problems. There's actually more to this career than meets the eye. What they don't know is that electrical engineering is a very advanced field that requires you to invent, design and build electrical and electronic devices, as well as being able to adapt to different roles when the opportunity arises. For a career in this field, at least a degree in engineering and good computer skills are required. Electrical engineering has nine divisions, each with their own specialty but even though their field is a little different, they all go through the same steps. The only difference is the product. It could be a computer, a generator or even a robot. According to What You Can Do, Second Edition, electrical engineers must first invent and design the device they want to build. This step is mostly done with computers, so computer skills are very necessary for this job. Once this phase is completed, they begin the construction phase. In this phase they build and test the newly built devices. This is the stage where you apply your knowledge of electrical components. For this job you have to work eight hours a day and take business trips occasionally, but this is mostly an office job. For a career in electrical engineering, at least a bachelor's degree in engineering is required. To get this degree, you will need to attend 4 years of college. I plan to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). The reason I plan to go there is because they teach this field up to doctoral level. Therefore, if and... middle of the paper... also, this courier is located anywhere in the world, wherever you are, you have a good chance of finding a courier in this field. But this is not the only reason why I choose to pursue this career. The other reason is that you gain a wide range of knowledge during your studies. Even with basic lessons you will improve your knowledge and that knowledge can be applied to many of your daily activities. Another reason is to improve understanding of computers. Nowadays computers are becoming an important part of our life, many tasks are performed by computers and for this good computer skills are required. Electrical engineers face IT problems at every stage of their study, in the field and in daily life. For electrical engineers, computers play a very important role in their work and without them there would be no modern engineering.
