Lord Narasimha in Hindu Mythology: Lord Narasimha is one of the deities worshiped by the group of Hindus called Vaishnav (meaning those who worship Lord Vishnu). Lord Narasimha is the fourth among the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. According to Narasimha Purana, Hiranyakashyapu and Hiranyaksha were the two demon brothers who created chaos on earth. Both of them hated Lord Vishnu from the bottom of their hearts and harassed or even killed innocent people who worshiped Vishnu. In his third incarnation called "Varahavatar", Lord Vishnu killed Hiranyaksha, which increased Hiranykashyapu's hatred towards Vishnu. He ordered that no one from his state should worship Vishnu and if they did Hiranyakashyapu would kill them. Hiranyakashyapu always wanted to wage war on Vishnu, but for this he needed extraordinary powers. He went to the forest to meditate and prayed to Lord Brahma. After severe penance, Lord Brahma was happy and appeared before Hiran...... middle of paper......ne at Multan in Pakistan and brought the bricks of the pillar from which Narasimha is said to have appeared. Bricks have also been preserved in the temple. Every day you can see the idol decorated in a beautiful and new way. Right in front of the Narasimha idol a small and cute Prahlad idol attracts the attention of the devotees. Apart from this, beautiful images of Lord Narasinha hanging on the pillars are worth looking at. Every Saturday, which is said to be the day of Lord Narasimha, you can participate in the grand aarti.
