Using the terminology, frameworks and concepts from the course, what advice would you give to the person you negotiated with?a. As mentioned in Part 1, I would recommend trying to incorporate several possible courses of action as a way to expand the pie. This will not only help satisfy the parties involved, but maintain relationships, create value and build trust. As a result, abandoning a hard negotiating style can be equally helpful in achieving these goals, especially if both parties make some concessions. I would also recommend avoiding the use of threats (e.g. forcing Joe to resign). This may cause the relationship not to be maintained.2. I was really impressed that my counterpart was fixated on giving her 10 weeks and not making a single concession from her aspiration point. Her ability to maintain a tough style throughout was impressive and worked very well for her.
