Since the fall of man there has been a sense that hate is a very easy and normal part of our lives. We are taught to hate from the beginning of life while love is learned as we grow up. Hate has been seen as a negative emotion while love is a decidedly positive emotion. Hate can easily affect our health in destructive ways causing high blood pressure and ulcers, to name a few, while love appears to affect the body by reducing stress levels and even depression. Hate can cause a person to want to take the life of another while love's desire is to save or preserve life. Hate is often found to be a safe zone for many people because they are free to act as they want while love takes us out of our comfort zone realizing that our words and actions can cause harm.
