It was during this time that I realized the importance of mathematics and programming as invaluable tools in management. I always thought that applying my technical knowledge to the field of management would be very satisfying. This venture helped me understand my goals when I decided to pursue a career in construction management. My current role at the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) has suddenly increased the demand for professionals who can understand processes, but also develop their own management skills to evaluate and execute effective project controls. I believe in using construction management tools efficiently. The construction professional should be expert in the field that underlies construction theory. In the future, I see myself as a professional construction manager addressing planning and critical paths by incorporating cutting-edge methodologies to meet the above-mentioned requirements. To achieve this, I would like to gain exposure to the latest practices adopted in the field of construction management.
