The first reason why we chose to work on the Aquatic Biome is because it is the largest of all because it covers most of the world. The second reason is because many people like fish and beautiful places found underwater. Water is the common link between all biomes. The aquatic biome can be divided into two basic regions: freshwater and marine. In the aquatic biome there are many things to discover such as aquatic animals and coral reefs. Soft water is defined as having a low concentration of salt. Animals living in freshwater regions are accustomed to the low concentration of salt. If there is too much concentration in the freshwater region, the animal living there will most likely die. There are many freshwater regions such as ponds, lakes, rivers, streams and wetlands. The second region we will talk about is the marine region. The marine region consists of the ocean and estuaries. An estuary is where the tide meets the stream.
