Abraham Maslow introduced Maslow's theory. This theory explains aspects of human behavior that are related to human needs. Maslow's theory demonstrates human needs. This theory is also known as Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. It shows the needs of human beings at different levels. The different levels are: physiological survival needs, safety and protection needs, belonging needs, self-esteem needs, as well as self-realization needs. This theory relates to human behavior because it is based on human needs such as food and shelter. Physiological needs according to this theory include things like oxygen, water, vitamins, and more. It also included being active and also taking rest for your body. Safety and security needs include. The model demonstrated by this theory is called the stages of change model, sometimes called the trans-theoretical model. This theory was first introduced to help those who needed to break the nicotine habit. This theory believes that people are capable of making decisions on their own. The decisions they make depend on their willingness to change. This theory is also known as transtheoretical model. This model is based on a person's willingness to change towards new positive behaviors. This model is divided into six different stages of change. The first stage is precontemplation, which in the case of a person is not aware of their behavior and is not ready for positive change. The next stage is contemplation, in which the individual begins to recognize the need for change in their behavior. The next stage is preparation, where the individual is ready for the change to happen and begins to implement it little by little. The next stage is maintenance, where the individual has gone through the positive change process to quit sooner or later and try not to refuse. The last stage is the conclusion, where the individual has made a completely positive change and is determined to remain positive
