In the PsychCentral blog, “Does Texting Hinder Social Skills?” posted May 2, 2012 by Lauren Suvel, blogger and author, says texting has become an everyday aspect of our lives. He suggests that society needs to use less technology and use our social skills more. Suvel backs up this statement by doing the following: First, he explains how society is lacking in social skills and society is choosing to allow it. Next, Suvel explains how texting or emailing has become an important aspect of our lives that we can't get rid of. Finally, explain how texting is very impersonal and this causes the main problem in decreasing social skills. Suvel seems to be writing in hopes of telling the truth about reality and the use of SMS to change and make his readers more aware of the problem we face in our society that the author wants to achieve.
