As an educator and leader I need to improve my knowledge to advance my nursing practice, patient outcomes, and learning leadership skills to strengthen nursing practice and delivery health care. Better equivalent of program requirements and credits, time spent with earned credentials, provision of advanced educational credentials for those who require advanced practical knowledge, but do not need or desire in-depth research, increased attractiveness to nursing individuals from non-nursing backgrounds; and a greater supply of teachers for practical teaching (AACN, 2006). By taking this course as a DNP student I would be an asset and a good resource in my facility. As part of this goal, I would integrate nursing science and patient care. Additionally, as a DNP graduate nurse I will be able to function at the highest level of leadership in scientific practice and inquiry using evidence-based theories to understand the nature of health and healthcare
