What is the influence of technology on child development? Technology is increasing rapidly revolutionizing children's lifestyle, drastically affecting their growth as a human well-being. Comparing this new era with the last decade, it is very well known how children's growth has changed. There were games such as: hide and seek, marbles, dolls, carts, among others, which children find fun. In those days they were healthy games in which the boy and girl could have fun and grow in a healthier way. They imagined games by creating their own rules, which did not require expensive devices and also led them to develop better physical and psychological growth. In today's society, technology has occupied a significant role in children's routines and this tool is present in practically every aspect of their daily lives. Major technological devices such as smartphones, computers or the Internet are influencing this new generation because children spend most of their time playing video games or obsessively checking their Facebook accounts instead of spending time outside or studying like before. Most children use technology as a lifestyle, which limits their creativity and imagination, as well as their body movements. Nowadays, technology is a fundamental tool that controls and influences the development of children, both their physical and psychological growth; therefore, there are methods that can help parents embark on this new technological era. Technology is negatively affecting children's physical growth; this system is creating alarming consequences that are essential to consider for a healthier lifestyle. Even... halfway through the paper... thinking about school. Children who spend most of their time with technology increase less academic ability. As Jim Taylor wrote, in the article “The Power of Prime”, “The Internet was invented and children were thrown into a very different environment where… imagination is not needed and memory is inhibited”, this confirms that excessive use of technology is negatively affecting children's mental capacity and this effect is reflected in school. Nowadays, children frequently use their electronic devices; for example, there are children who sleep very late to spend time checking their Internet accounts instead of sleeping at the exact time. This act can be seen in the child's grades because a tired child who has not slept long enough will be excitable and impulsive the next day. A tired brain needs movement to wake up.
