In the television program my two dads take on a different role than that of the modern family because there are two fathers who work instead of one. Middle television shows take on different roles than the modern family because the mother and father of the family work instead of just the father being the breadwinner. The majority of gender roles had men as breadwinners and women as housewives depending on the culture. For example, the textbook explains: “The culture may include a rule that women should not work outside the home.” Therefore, according to that culture women were forced to stay at home and be housewives. Nowadays you will see a variety of different roles from the opposite sex too. For example, some women are the ones who work and bring home money for the family while fathers take care of the house and children all the time.
