In my experience hiring and working with younger generations, I have faced many issues that the older generation understands. It's difficult for younger employees to understand that they are paid to work without checking in on social media and that breaks occur when they are scheduled. Additionally, younger employees tend to seek more praise and recognition for each task they complete, rather than understanding that it is an expectation of the job and not a choice. It is possible that the workforce is witnessing a generation with the “everyone gets a trophy” mentality and that young people are having difficulty adapting to the real world. Schools could work on both hard and soft skills. Providing more real-world experience in the classroom would be beneficial to the student when joining the job
