Ever since paleontologists discovered dinosaurs there has been a debate about how these incredible creatures died. This great debate is between the scientific theory and the religious theory about how the dinosaurs became extinct. The scientific side of the debate thinks it was a comet or asteroid that crashed into the earth killing them, just like we are told in school growing up. Then of course there is the religious side of the debate, which we are not taught about in school, and they think that the dinosaurs were killed by the great flood described in the Bible when Noah built the Ark. Of course neither side is sure correct but both sides make excellent points that should be considered. In school we are taught how dinosaurs died due to an asteroid or comet hitting the earth, but they don't really go into depth about how everywhere in the world killed them. The full theory is that an asteroid or comet hit Earth and caused a chain of major catastrophes including a nuclear winter, ash and dust that blotted out the sun, dead plants, falling temperatures, forest fires and tsunamis. Scientists also think that earthquakes may have caused volcanoes to erupt, releasing a toxic gas that settled and was breathed in by dinosaurs. But it is more likely that the comet or asteroid impact occurred because metals, rare on Earth, have been found in the same layer as dinosaur fossils, but metal can be found in space from comets and asteroids. And then, of course, an asteroid or comet impact is really the only thing, among all the other scientific theories, that mammals could have survived because “Mammals are able to maintain their body temperature. They are less dependent on ambient temperatures, unlike '...half of the paper...has their own opinion even if others disagree with it. We understand that some people think that the dinosaurs died due to a catastrophic chain reaction after the impact of an asteroid or comet on Earth. We also see that some people believe that dinosaurs died due to climate change after a great flood. So I have a question for you: What do you think really happened to the dinosaurs?
