The Omani Labor Law gives the employer a number of rights. Employers have the right to ask their employees to perform certain tasks if there is an urgent need for work, even if such a task is not mentioned in the contract. Furthermore, Article 25 of the Labor Law allows the employer to dismiss the employee if he is responsible for damage or loss to the company, illegal absenteeism or disclosure of work secrets. It happened with Al Anood who was fired because he was responsible for a road accident that resulted in damage to the company's company car.
