I have always appreciated the freedom in writing. I think when you teach writing or anything else there should be no restrictions on your creativity. Unfortunately, I can't provide many stories of me being able to write this way because of the way my school taught us to write. However, there was a moment in my Spanish 3 class where we were given the opportunity to create our own fairy tale. I remember my Spanish teacher gave us three rules for this project. “The document must be at least one page long, the document must be in Spanish, and it must be turned in on Friday.” I remember being so nervous about only having three rules for a document and asking so many more questions after class because I was so used to having documents that had a full three pages of rules and requirements to follow. With the freedom I was given with this article I was allowed to go as far as my imagination would allow and this was actually one of the few times I actually enjoyed writing an article. That's why I believe writing should be taught more creatively. I think that teaching writing in this way is very effective and that there are many benefits that could come from it. Teaching writing in this way allows people to be creative and become the best person they can be. Unfortunately, this is not the case in most schools and many people don't have the opportunity to be creative in their writing. They are simply tasked with following a set of rules and writing academically. With many having lost their voice in the
