Younger children growing up today are discovering how this world works. It's not an easy place. It's not a good place when you get older. People who choose to stereotype others around them will have no problem stereotyping children as they grow up. For example, a problem with high school kids is that whoever seems to have the best brand of clothes, shoes, or other apparel is the one with the most money. The more money you have, the cooler you are. Along with this is the assumption that the more money you have, the more stuck you are. This, however, is not always true. When parents teach their children not to feel superior to others and to consider everyone's circumstances, it instills a form of respect for others. And respecting others and their feelings might motivate them to think first
