The Industrial Revolution dramatically changed America in more positive than negative ways. The American Industrial Revolution has its roots in the Industrial Revolution that began in England. The demand for cotton during this period was enormous. Many new industries were developed that helped American business, but some treated their workers poorly. Additionally, many new forms of transportation and communication were developed and improved. Agriculture industrialized by collaborating with certain industries to meet the needs of Americans and many immigrants. This event helped the population and economy of the United States grow, although it had some harmful events that happened, but it was still more positive than negative. The English were the first to have an industrial revolution (US history). The first industrial revolution began in Great Britain in the 18th century. Then the revolution began to focus on the United States and Germany. The industrial revolution has indeed changed societies and economies of countries in many positive ways. The United States realized that it needed to improve and strengthen its mechanisms after the battle of 1812. This battle began when the British opened fire because they were forbidden to search American ships. It was obvious to Americans that they needed a better transportation system and greater economic independence. The British helped the Americans understand what they were missing regarding industrialization (about.com). Samuel Slater was the incredible British man who introduced Americans to industrialization. He is the man who improved the textile industry in America (United States History). Slater opened the first mill in the United States in 1790; the mill design was originally from a British model... middle of paper... the factory manages to make money on what it bought. From about 1880 to 1920 agriculture added 2.1 million workers. The employment rate increased enormously, because there were more people needed and therefore larger quantities of products could be produced (NCBI). Even though there were difficult and risky activities that many innocent people did or had to do, the industrial revolution was the greatest that ever happened. in America. America would not be the America of today if it had not gone through all these leveling ups and little difficulty. Americans have gained confidence and experience from all the things they have done and experienced. Industrialization boosted the US economy and introduced many new inventions and showed them that they were capable of creating a great nation after all. The industrial revolution changed life and made everything simpler and more ideal.
