Discovering the World of a Princess Disney is best known for Mickey Mouse, but Disney Pictures is also known for its Disney Princesses. From their first production in 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to their most recent production in 2013 Frozen. More than 75 years have passed and Disney is still making princess movies today. If you could name three princesses in your head, who would you choose? I would say that Snow White, Cinderella and Ariel are the most well known princesses for all the years they have been playing. These are films from another time, but not everyone knows all the princess films broadcast in this century. These three princesses have a lot in common. They all lived happily ever after, they're all classic Disney movies and they all found their prince. Let's dive deeper into what else they have in common, shall we? First of all, these three films are considered musicals. All three princesses have a solo song in their films. Snow White with “One day my prince will come”. Cinderella with “A dream is a wish your heart makes.” Finally Ariel with “Part of Your World”. There are multiple songs in each movie, but these are the most famous songs that each princess is known for. In relation to their songs, the films show an important role in gender roles. In Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Snow sings “Someday my prince will come. One day we will meet again and go to his castle. To be happy forever, I know." In this song she shows that she will just wait for him. In Cinderella she sings “A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you are fast asleep. In dreams you will lose the pain in your heart. Whatever you desire, stick to it.” In the film he cleans and cooks. Show... half of the paper... I find fairy tales to be very cynical, but I think it shows girls adventures, good versus evil, teaches them a story, and teaches them a lesson. With these films, girls can see a whole new world in a different light and adventure within their own home. Disney Princess movies attract little girls from all over the world, but they are open to anyone. Every girl loves magic, music, happy endings, love stories, and that's why younger girls are a great audience for Disney Princess movies. The Disney Princess movies do a fantastic job of teaching lessons to little girls, showing them to have faith and follow their dreams. Girls will find themselves vulnerable to the world around them because of these films. Which is great because it gives girls the chance to live their dreams. The love of Disney has been passed down from generation to generation and will continue to move forward.
